Truck driver

The work: Drive a Mack, Kenworth or Peterbilt truck. Use McLeod.
The time: Local, regional and OTR drivers wanted for predictable routes. Weekends home are the norm. Time OTR can change.

Minimum requirements: Applicants must have a Class A license, 2 years minimum experience driving on US roads, English fluency and a pre-employment drug screen.

Mechanics: Class A, B, and C diesel technicians, Trailer mechanics, Service technicians

The work: Focus on Mack, Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks as well as trailers.
The time: M-F, 8:00-5:00pm.

Minimum requirements: 5 years experience or equivalent certifications and a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Flatbed drivers are paid 30%. Logging and core movements pay 32%.
  • Pay is per diem.
  • 95% are customer freight.
  • Collins Trucking does not pay for tarping.
  • Flatbed trailers are 48 ft. and 53 ft.
  • All are air, ride spread axle to easily maintain legal weight.
  • New trailers have a front lift axle to maximize fuel savings while empty.
  • Requirement: Be able to pull yourself up on the trailer and loads to secure straps, chains and tarps.
  • Requirement: Experience in tarping loads.

  • Owner operators receive 75% of the revenue and 100% FSC.
  • Owner operators run under Collins Trucking’s liability insurance, receive workers comp and use McLeod (at no expense to you).
  • Settlements are paid through direct deposit.

  • Pay for vans is $0.53 CPM.
  • Regional and local routes are paid 30%.

If you stopped driving several years ago but still have a current Class A CDL, you are required to have driven at least 2 of the last 3 years.

No truck is over 4 years old.
No pets are allowed in trucks.
Collins Trucking does not have a lease-purchase program.
No team drivers are needed at this time though lengths of haul may change this.
